Την Πέμπτη 16 Μαρτίου 2017, και ώρα 12:00, το 6ο Γυμνασίoυ Θεσσαλονίκης (στο πλαίσιο του Προγράμματος Σχολικών Δραστηριοτήτων – Αγωγής Σταδιοδρομίας: «ΜΠΟΡΟΥΜΕ ΝΑ …ΔΟΥΜΕ ΤΙΣ ΜΑΥΡΕΣ ΤΡΥΠΕΣ;») συνδεθήκε μέσω ιντερνέτ με την Κρακοβία (Πολωνία) όπου η Dagmara Bożek-Andryszczak και ο Δρ. Κων/νος Λεπτοκαρόπουλος μας παρουσίασαν «Ssshhh! Earth is Alive!» & «The polar world and the adventure with education» αντίστοιχα. Τους ευχαριστούμε τα μάλα, καθώς ανταποκρίθηκαν άμεσα στην πρόσκλησή μας και μας ενθουσίασαν με την επιστημονικότητα και την αμεσότητα των παρουσιάσεών τους.
On Thursday, March 16th, 2017, at 12:00, the 6th Junior High School of Thessaloniki (within the School Educational Program – on Careers’ Education: “CAN WE SEE … THE BLACK HOLES?”) was connected, via internet to Krakow (Poland), where Dagmara Bożek-Andryszczak and Dr. Konstantinos Leptokaropoulos present us «Ssshhh! Earth is Alive! » &« The polar world and the adventure with education » respectively. We want to thank for their immediate responde to our invitation and we have to note that we were all impressed with their scientific approach and the directness of their presentations.
Presenter: Dr. Konstantinos Leptokaropoulos, was graduated as Environmental Engineer in 2005 from Democritus University of Thrace, Xanthi and then he moved to Thessaloniki where he continued his post graduate studies. He received his Master degree (2009) from the Department of Geophysics, Faculty of Geology, of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. As a PhD candidate, he participated in several research and educational projects both national and international. He successfully defended his PhD Thesis on December 2014, in Thessaloniki. Since January, 2014, he moved to Poland (Warsaw, then Krakow) where he is employed in the Institute of Geophysics, Polish Academy of Sciences.His main research fields deal with both natural and anthropogenic seismicity comprising statistical seismology, seismic hazard assessment, time series analyses, stress field variations and earthquake distribution function properties. He participates in several International Research ans Infrastructure Projects such as IS EPOS, SHEER, and EPOS-IP. He received the title of Assistant Professor on May 2015.
Presenter: Dagmara Bożek-Andryszczak – member of two Polish polar expeditions: to Polish Polar Station Hornsund (Spitsbergen, 2012-2013) and Polish Antarctic Station “Arctowski” (King George Island, 2015-2016). Specialist at Eduscience project (2012 2015) leaded by Institute of Geophysic Polish Academy of Sciences. From December 2016 has been involved in EDU-ARCTIC project. Conducts online lessons, classes and workshops for students and teachers focusing on polar regions. General info: Long time ago I had promised myself that I never would work as a teacher. Now education is one of the field I am working in. How this could happen? Using my own job experience I would like to encourage students to learn and obtain new skills.
